In a sense AI health has been evolving over years. Doctors used to be allowed to think for you. Then Insurance companies snuffed out doctors’ freedom to be helpful by putting the fear that they wouldn’t be covered. Then because doctors were not allowed to function, they were replaced by nurse practitioners who used their computers, I think the website was called Watson?, to diagnose. My nurse practitioner was valuable to me because she loved hearing about what I was reading and how I was curing myself. She allowed me to request certain blood tests. Then in the UK there is a “wellness” section that one can request to see your levels of minerals and vitamins etc. but they don’t want to cover costs for homocysteine and C-reactive proteins, etc. So through time we can see medicine moving onto computers and becoming more and more accessible online where we have to be mindful of our sources. NIH has been surprisingly interested in nutrition. And such a reliable source. Then we experiment personally and sometimes pinpoint success.

I still need what I call “Orthodox” medical help to diagnose what my issues are so i can research my own cures. And I have enough doctors in my family, at NIH and at Sloane Kettering, to know they have beautiful minds. Yes antibiotics have saved my life and that is the silver bullet of all orthodox medicines. We have to accept that orthodox has made discoveries. Well so they should have with all those grants. My grandfather was an orthopedic surgeon. I’m so proud of him. But I have a rampant bio hacker cousin who recommends ivermectin for horses who would crucify the Sloane Kettering guy. The imaginative NIH girl who was on TV for never tried before procedures looked at me wide eyed when I told her that chlorine makes breast cancer and that she should get a water filter. She just didn’t know!

Yes. I would like to be in your group. I’ve been scared of AI, but better face it. You are making so much sense, finding out what your regime is MISSING. Salient! I probably have to subscribe to you but I only have a phone which won’t let me I’ll have to work on that too

I just read your newsletter again, and can agree with ChatGPT about taking more magnesium, at the moment I take a mixture of Magnesium Chelate (high absorption) and Magnesium Oxide(not so well absorbed) but it amounts to 525 mg of Magnesium per day. I take one type in the morning and the other in the evening. I can also say it doesn’t seemed to have helped how I feel at all, but there’s supposed to be a good effect if taking D3 and K2, as magnesium competes with Calcium in the bloodstream and will help keep Calcium in the bones.

Some people take up to 2gram or more of available magnesium. I’m just saying this, as I take a high dose of Magnesium, and have been for about 3 years, just if you are thinking of increasing Mag.

There’s a Nature’s Way brand, available at Woolworths, which are often on special at half price. They are Aussie owned, but doesn’t say where they’re made. (I know, I hate Woolworth’s too!)

Also, about Zinc, ChatGPT says 10-30mg a day, I used to take 25mg per day, but a doctor who I think is good, some say no good-Dr Mercola says unless you are sick, don’t take more than 25 mg per day. So now I take 12.5 mg per day with vit C 2000mg if I’m well, but if I feel ill, I increase to 25 mg twice a day with 2000mg vit C. We need something, an io-onophore to get Zinc across cell membranes, into the cell. You probably know this. Quercetin is brilliant for this, but expensive, and I think I remember reading that vit C will do the job. If I feel like I’m getting, or have got a cold/flu (whatever it is that causes this feeling), I also take extra vit C, up to 2000mg every two hours. That’s if I’m feeling up to even doing this!

I also favour NAC and chlorine dioxide-I think on these alone, I’m usually feeling fine the next day, or within 2 days at the most, and when I used to get a “cold” it would last 7 or more days. These days I hardly ever get sick, and I get over it quickly on this (muddled) regimen.

As for Copper, I just take a trace amount daily in my multivitamin, 1mg daily. I take enough stuff to worry about exact ratios. A bit will do, I reckon. Maybe this is why Dr Mercola says to take 25mg or less of Zinc if you’re feeling well.

I also take 2000mg of Fish oil, to balance out pufas. Mercola says poly unsaturated fatty acids in processed seed oils are ubiquitous these days (they are), I’ve stopped using any vegetable or seed oil except olive oil, and only a bit-for cooking. I use butter elsewise, or certain foods just soak it up, so I put in a bit of olive oil. The seed and vegetable oils are very bad for us. I can’t say exactly how, I’d need to look it up (I’ve forgotten) bad memory. But butter, lard, coconut oil, maybe palm oil-not sure about that one-these are better for us as the medical fraternity have been lying to us about cholesterol-we need it, for our brains are made mainly from it. I’m not sure what levels we need, but we need much higher cholesterol than what they tell us!

As for probiotics, I eat a bit of normal yoghurt when I think of it. Nothing special. I’m not really sure about all this gut/brain stuff they’re telling us. We’d all surely be broke if we took everything!

So that’s a bit of what I do, with regard to what ChatGPT says. So you can see what another person does. (do you know what the GPT stands for?) I’m 62 btw, and overweight, not obese, but very unfit. I also have bad dentures and can’t eat with them, so I eat with my gums-it’s not the best, but has to do!

What is says.so about? I can get to a web page, but it does not seem to be live. It might be a really good idea to run the same conversations through two independently owned AIs to keep them both honest. I just asked ChatGPT for a competitor and have downloaded something called POE which seems to be a front end allowing access to a whole range of AIs. A huge world out there I know nothing about.

If you type everything you are taking into ChatGPT you can ask it if the dosing is balanced and if there is anything in excess or missing. It's only going to give you results based on the mainstream understanding of optimal doses, and most naturopaths will give you much higher doses, but I have found it very useful in carving down what I am taking because it is all too much and too expensive. If I can reduce a dose of something from 400mg to 300mg, then I have saved a few cents. The only supermarket brand I buy is Blackmores. The rest seem to have bad fillers and I have bad reactions to them, and Blackmores is always on half price special somewhere. I buy bulk stuff we can get locally from https://bettervaluepharmacy as it is the cheapest local supplier for mail order and Amazon for the harder to find stuff. I have to go with the cheapest if I am going to keep myself alive with this stuff, so I am willing to compromise with purchasing decisions. I get all herbs from herbosophy and MCP from GrassesForLife and Turmeric from turmericaustralia.com.au. - I do buy Australian where I can justify it for quality and customer service. I had to go with the dental hospital by the way, and lucked in with the dentist they had locally. If you can get in with them, they are not as scary as they sound.

Yeah, fair enough, especially about prices. I’ll have to check bettervaluepharmacy, I’ve never heard of them. I’ll have a look. I got some devil’s claw from herbosophy! I haven’t been on it long enough to see if it helps. Is MCP Membrane Cofactor Protein? Do you get much help from turmeric?

My teeth haven’t fitted properly for a while, I can go to our local hospital to get new ones, but I need to save up!

Modified citrus pectin, for detox. Started taking it for cancer, (stops it metastasizing) but found it dropped blood sugar by 2 mmol/L so have to keep taking it. My body seems to really really like it. I take turmeric as “background noise” but I can’t say that I have ever seen specific results from it for my own health (except my dog - when she was still alive, it kept her out of pain).

Citrus pectin, yes I’ve seen you talk about that, and other people have too. And if turmeric could keep your poor dog out of pain, it might help me.

I had this really great stuff from Wanderlust-I know, they’re expensive-it had 4 ingredients in it, didn’t do anything, so I left it for a year or more, then tried it about a month ago, out of date, and it stopped my pain-I was stunned-the only other thing that’s done that is dmso.

So I looked for where I could buy more of this Wanderlust “plant pain relief”- everywhere was out of stock. So I went to the company site-couldn’t see it, and I found out they stopped making it! I was so disappointed. They recommended their turmeric instead. I’ve got some, 2 different company’s, I’ll give them a try.

Thanks Christine, you provide interesting info, on a variety of ailments, and using AI has really helped you.

How is the red light therapy going? I know I ask a lot of questions.

Here’s another-do you live on your own or have a partner/spouse? I ask because they can take a bit of looking after, which is not great when we’re not feeling great ourselves. We also have an adult son with autism living at home. Luckily the autism is not too bad. He also has type one insulin dependent diabetes. I am absolutely sure both are from childhood “vaccines”, especially after learning about this sort of stuff from covid.

I just didn’t know when he was little, that vaxes can cause these things. Most people think type one diabetes is genetic-well I am declaring to the world-anyone who’ll listen-that it is NOT genetic. We know what causes SIDS now. And here’s a new friend SADS! They seem to have dropped that lately.

I’m interested in how the mitochondrial “stuff” goes. I understand it will take quite some time to know.

Good for you, for enduring all you have, and being on top of things, mostly. It seems to have come from using your brain, for sure, how you are going in your health journey. I appreciate reading and commenting in your substack!

Haven't done red light therapy, just got a red light for my bedroom, and another no blue light for my loungeroom, to see if it helps my sleep improves over time. I would like to try redlight therapy but the budget does not currently stretch that far. I am no longer as fragile as i was - much stronger although far from well. Discovering the mutant MTHFR gene has given me a focus for the next part of my healing journey, and I think we could all do worse than keep an eye on longevity medicine and sports medicine. There is so much critical health information there - much in advance of modern naturopathy.

I don't know how legit these are, and they are LED lights, but i am not prioritising learning the science of this as this stage. https://www.blockbluelight.com.au/collections/sleep-enhancing-lighting.

Hi Christine,

It's late and I'm too tired to digest in detail what you've written but I say go for it! I've been thru my share of Drs. and understand where you're at completely. Any chance AI can help w a degenerated spine? I am wondering how you're feeling or is it too soon to ask? Also wondering if you know anything about Methylene Blue? I just came across it the other day and thought of you as it seems it has some effect on the mitochondria if I remember correctly. Sounds like you have a long life ahead of you! 👍

rrodynmac's avatar

How badly is it degenerated Let’srock? I ask because I had an operation for a herniated disc at L4/L5 about 12 years ago, but that just made things worse.

I have scarring on the sciatic nerve that the disc was squashing, and there’s also a stenosis where that nerve comes out from spinal cord, and I’ve got a scoliosis (not sure if I had that before or after the op).

The pain from the sciatic nerve has shifted lately-I know our brains can rewire and this could be referred pain, but it’s really hurting in the worst places, down through my backside, which makes it very hard to walk properly. I asked the Dr if I could have a cat scan to see what’s happening but he refuses. So I’ve given up, and what would I do anyway, have another op? No!

My spouse had the same problem, but his operation worked. But in the last year or so he’s had bad pain sort of like me, so our doc gave him an X-ray and he found he has 3 degenerating vertebrae. Doc won’t let me even have an X-ray. Same doc, don’t know why he won’t even give me an X-Ray. I swear the doctors are going crazy.

Have you tried a tens machine?

Sorry for the long comment, but I’m interested to know how you are coping if you’ve got time.

BTW, I’ve had cortisone injections in my joint, my spinal cord, and specifically in the sciatic nerve-none of them helped.

Thanks!

Hi and I'm sorry for what you're going thru but why won't Drs not want to have x-rays or MRI? Maybe bc you're done w surgery and that's all they can do? I've had 3 different Drs say I am inoperable which is fine w me, I don't need to be any worse. Apparently once you've opened that can of worms their only answer is to have more which only.makes it worse. No, I've never used tens it kinda creeps me out as I've those electric shocks from nerve pain and couldn't deal w it. The last two facet injections I had neck and lumber I had severely bad reaction that only made things worse, while previous ones did help. Since they've gotten into the ablation thing they're doing something different which isn't working. People don't seem to understand that DEGENERATIVE is a condition that means it gradually gets worse as mine has been doing. Apparently this is a very common yet I have still yet to find an answer. It really sucks.

Phar Percheron's avatar

Well, I hate to be annoying, the body can regenerate and repair itself to some extent given the right conditions.

Collagen supplements seem to be really helpful, but it needs to be delivered to where it is needed. Look up hyaluronic acid pump for a hint. Joints are resupplied during movement through the range of motion in a relaxed state. This account for the magic of yoga and especially Tai Chi.

Another issue is fascia, stuck fascia and adhesions. Where the fascia is stuck, movement of fluids is restricted, so the joints cannot be nourished properly.

Whenever you have surgery you are cutting into the fascia and it will basically create scar tissue. The scar tissue interferes with regeneration and repair.

Hands on myofascial release (MFR) was my most successful intervention up to now. x-rays look scary but the body works pretty well and I am taking belly dancing and can get on the horse from the ground.

In my life I have to pay for every kind of helpful intervention out of pocket. Insurance is just like taxes, you are paying into a system that has its own priorities, and your well-being is at the bottom of the list.

good luck to you both. I get Dr Mercola's newsletter and now read substack "The Forgotten Side of Medicine". Spinal decompression is easy to research. I don't expect to really feel results from this, but hope to stop the degeneration and get some repair started on the discs. what I do get results from to treat my main problem right now, which is neuropathy, are targeted supplements and red light therapy. I just use heat lamps from the hardware store for now.

I don’t know why the doc won’t give me an X-ray at least! I really don’t! I just want to know if my back has gotten worse! I don’t want another op-you’re right-it makes it worse!

That’s really bad about your injections. I don’t know an answer for your condition either.

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I hope you can use the machine that Phar mentions! Good luck!

Hey Letsrock,

I'm doing a series of 30 Sessions on a machine that does spinal decompression. There's a chain called Disc Doctors of America that offers this. I asked if using the inversion table would do the same thing, actually I think it does, but I haven't managed to get myself to spend enough time on it.

I asked my other chiropractor if regular chiropractic care would do spinal decompression and he said no it doesn't.

Other than that, or really in addition to that, I highly recommend yoga. I'm 72 and have kept my back and neck pretty much pain free, well since I retired anyway, when I was working not so much. Despite some pretty bad looking X-rays with scoliosis and results of injuries, and no discs at all in some places.

I had to give up yoga - far too dangerous for my spine, but I found Qi Gong excellent. However, what really fixed my back for good (I think) was a magnetic pulser. It is supposed to re-align all the cells in your body to a north/south polarity, and I was using it for something else altogether, when I noticed it always fixed my shonky back when I used it. i eventually learned to use it anytime my back felt in need of care and attention. After years of that, the pulser eventually stopped working, and my back has never troubled me since, so it did something permanent - no idea what. I had a chiropractor who used to do a form of stretching the spine, and Bowen and Alexander are also quite good for that. Now all I do is the I, Y, T, W stretch and I can feel my spine straightening right out. Lots of options for back care.

rrodynmac's avatar

Do you know Christine, how much a magnetic pulser might cost?

And what’s your definition of a shonky back? What was wrong if you know?

Who are Bowen and Alexander?

I’ll look this up, but it would save me time if you can give me these answers. I really don’t have much spare time-you’d know what I mean, yourself having gone through so much pain.

Also this supplement I guess I’ll call it, Age-Mate-there’s so much in it-is it a capsule/tablet, or powder? It would be a big tablet/capsule wouldn’t it? It sounds very good though.

Another question, maybe a really dumb one-how do you get the AI-is it just an app? I suppose by now there would be a few different types. You use Chat GPT, I think I read. I’ve a shocking memory, maybe because I was taking statin for a few years before I knew they were bad, and I take an opioid for my pain-I’ve been trying to come off it, but I can’t do it! I’m so scared and hateful of this pain. But, I reckon soon enough I won’t be able to get it, as I’m not getting “vaccinated”!

I'm nervous of methylene blue. Too soon to know if the AgeMate + Metagen Methyl-Active are going to do anything - working at this cellular and sub cellular level can take months to show downstream results. But I am suspecting I already have much more mental energy - I am expecting to do more and wanting to do more and getting a shock when I hit limits. So something is shifting. This kind of treatment is all about healing at the deepest level, and letting the body prioritise so no quick fixes and no specifically targeted healing. Wait and see. So far, with everything I have done, cancer is not spreading and technically I am cancer free, so I aim to keep it that way.

Dr Bryan ARDIS recommends "nicotine" (patches / gums) to get rid of C19 (snake venom) side-effects.

Expand full comment

Mucuna pruriens is also effective for Parkinson’s disease, a friend researching it told me. I guess it’s got something to do with antagonising the nicotinic receptors, because supposedly stimulating them would make someone shaky, like smoking can.

It’s very interesting that the nicotine patches didn’t make you crave the smokes. A lot about the addiction is the actual act of having the cigarette-anticipation, taste 👎 yuk. I also am an ex smoker, I had nicotine lozenges for a while, they did nothing.

So maybe the nicotine is not addictive after all. I’ve seen a bit of your work about that Christine. I got off the smokes with Champix.

And fancy an interview with Bryan Ardis and Riccardo Bosi!!! I would never have thought. Would like to see that, but I can’t take the time just now.

This is to ensure user safety and to avoid the potential risks associated with unverified medical guidance. Yeah Marty, I take D3 every day, and K2 every second day, yes to keep the calcium in ‘dem bones-‘dem dry bones. Also Magnesium as it competes with Calcium in the bloodstream. I really don’t know how much I’m meant to take of them, but since everything went way up in price during weaponised inflation, I had to halve the amount of D3 per day, and K2 I used to take every day.

I take a fair amount of magnesium, as bioavailability varies, depending on which magnesium.

The microscopists say just about everything is compromised, but I’ve just given up worrying about it all, else it will drive me mad!

I don’t get much sun where I am, I think they’ve weaponised the weather to make us move house. (I’m rural). Got a nice long driveway to walk up and down, for strong bones, but it’s difficult with this awful weather though.

Agreed with the problems you outline but where are we going to get better information from? For most of us, we are all we have got, so we make the most of the resources we do have access to. AI is certainly more accurate than any doctor, but we still need to be researching as widely as we can. I am lucky to be well educated about most nutritional issues, so I mostly do know the questions to ask.
