Be careful there are two different plants that many call wormwood. Artemesia Absinthium - Wormwood it has silver looking leaves. Then there is Artemesia annua - Sweet Annie or some call it also Wormwood, Sweet Wormwood. Make sure one is using the right one.
What is the active ingredient in grapefruit seed extract?
The primary active component is the grapefruit seed extract itself which contains several bioflavonoids, primarily naringin, that contribute to the efficacy. Additionally there is ascorbic acid (or Vitamin C), that is present in the extract and is also added as an active component.
Grapefruits averaged 17 mg (79.6 SD) aglycone/ 100g edible fruit or juice for naringin and 3 and 5mg aglycone/100 g edible fruit or juice for hesperidin (75.4 SD) and narirutin (73.4 SD), respectively."
Thank you. I read that UpJohn (Michigan pharma company which was gobbled up by Pharmacia than Pfizer )was studying olive leaf for it’s antibacterial properties and other values many years ago.
I think Lee Merritt should interview You! 😉🫶

I've changed the title to sweet wormwood to make this clear.
I wonder if one could use grapefruit seed extract instead of the juice.
It is high in naringen so I imagine so.

Thank you ! I use it in an anti bacterial gut cure for h pylori using gum mastic, oregano oil, and grape seed extract. From Dr. D Brownstein md.
Olive leaf extract also works on h pylori and rosacia.
