Maybe this issue is from (generational?) vaccination? Seems to be the source of many problems and many avenues of cash flow for big pharma. It's also an authoritarian's dream.
I'm not sure about that when it comes to the MTHFR gene. There is a difference between a mutation, which is damage to a gene, and a variation, which is evolution of a gene to suit specific environmental circumstances. Genetic variants can be clustered in geographic areas and in racial or haplogroups, which tends to indicate environmental adaptation rather than genetic damage. It could be that my body is perfectly adapted to the environmental and nutritional conditions of the Pennines in Northern England, or moorlands of Yorkshire, and horribly adapted to conditions in Australia. I may be set up for low light, poor availability of fresh foods for many months, etc. There is a lot more still to learn.
That said, the ancestry from those areas also worked in lead mines and coal mines, so there were many other toxicity factors at play. The men in those areas only lived till their 50s although the women did better, living till their 70s.
Whatever I got poisoned with in 2022 it did something to the gene in question and now I am on a methylation diet and I kind of figured out myself because it came across that gene info in 2020 in researching my high blood pressure and being allergic to all the blood pressure medicine at times I felt like I was going to die, and I would drive myself to the hospital.
For supplementation, I’m taking a premier vitamin product called phyto methylate
Well, at first when I got sick like that evening, I was working in the attic of my mother-in-law‘s house. I had extreme amount of pain. I thought I’d did something to my back and hips and then a headache and odd place on my head and then I was shaking and shivering for about five or six hours. I thought I accidentally ingested rat poison. The only thing I could relate to, a friend of mine described when he got bit by copperhead snake.
And my physiology changed the following six months.
I had ordered a book on Kindle when I was studying mitochondria. It was all about the methylation diet, etc. I haven’t finished it even though I purchased it in 2020 could’ve been before.
When I started writing this article I thought I was writing about the MTHFR gene, but by the end I realised I was writing about the methylation process - and I haven't done that very well - so much more to understand about methylation.
Are you suggesting that something got knocked out with covid? If so, what? For me, pre-covid I was able to use choline to manage FMS pain. After covid I was no longer able to use choline to manage FMS pain. I don't know what the links are or the sequence of events related to MTHFR, methylation, choline, etc are - at the moment i have them all in the same bucket and am waiting for them to make sense.
This certainly gives food for thought and research. Time for that 23andme gene breakdown
NOTE FOR ME, FROM CAROLE SAVAGE OF THE MTHFR Gene Mutation Facebook group
SENSITIVE TO METHYL DONORS … I hope this helps to understand the connections
* … The MTHFR enzyme makes L-Methyl Folate.
* … L-Methyl Folate donates its methyl group to make Methyl-B12.
* … Methyl B12 donates its methyl group to turn Homocysteine into Methionine.
* … Methionine is made into SAMe.
* … SAMe is the body's most important methyl donor of them all.
* … After SAMe gives away its methyl group what is left behind is SAH.
* … It is the SAH that blocks up the slow COMT enzyme and causes emotional upheaval.
* … To lower SAH I recommend that people who are bothered by too much SAH blocking up their COMT enzyme take NAD+
* … NAD+ is the redox cofactor for the enzyme SAHH {AHcy] which splits SAH in half.
* … When the SAH is lowered then the COMT enzyme is freed up to do its job properly.

Check into a grounding mat. Helps with insomnia and low energy, and other things. Just another tool in the box.
This is incredibly good, accurate information, condensing a very complex subject in understandable language. Thank you.

Thank you for all this valuable information.

You might find it helpful the name of the book
